Student dormitory "Kuzman Josifovski Pitu"

The student dormitory “Kuzman Josifovski Pitu” was built in the 1950s as a public institution for the realization of the interests and needs of students studying outside their place of residence. It is located at the corner formed by two important arteries in the capital city of Skopje – “Sveti Kliment Ohridski” and “Metropolitan Teodosij Gologanov” boulevards, and is named after the Macedonian communist and national liberator.

As an institution of public interest, the dormitory provides students with accommodation, nutrition, health care, cultural-entertainment, sports-recreational and other activities. All students who meet the conditions set by the Ministry of Education and Science are entitled to accommodation.

Since its ancient beginnings, Kuzman Josifovski Pitu has provided a home away from home for countless students over the decades, catering to their needs, and its evolution over the years has changed along with the dynamic needs of its residents.

The student dormitory "Kuzman Josifovski Pitu" plays an important role in providing affordable residences for students and fostering a sense of community among them, while reflecting the priority of education and social protection.

In addition to the accommodation facilities, students have access to a variety of amenities, including common study rooms, iskhana rooms and recreation rooms, fostering a vibrant and supportive community atmosphere.

 

The reconstruction includes changing the plumbing and electrical installation with new modern systems and equipment, changing the heating installation, the sanitary units, making an energy-efficient facade and installing photovoltaics for electricity production. The project also includes renovating the common rooms for learning and increasing the safety of students.

 
With a commitment to sustainability, innovation and student well-being, the project is strives to improve the overall comfort of the dormitory, at the same time ensuring it remains a place of comfort, community and connection for generations that are coming.
