Student dormitory "Stiv Naumov"
The student dormitory “Steve Naumov”, named after the Macedonian actor and national hero Steve Naumov, who is a significant figure in Macedonian history, is located in one of the largest neighborhoods in the capital, Skopje.
As a public institution, the facility primarily offers accommodation and food for students who study outside their place of residence, i.e. attend universities in the capital, and all students who meet the conditions set by the Ministry of Education and Science are entitled to accommodation.
For decades, this dormitory welcomes a large number of students from all over the country, taking care of their needs and providing not only a place to live, but also health care, cultural-entertainment, sports-recreational and other activities.
"Stiv Naumov" Student Dormitory is known for its strategic location, which is also one of its famous features. Located near several universities and educational institutions, "Stiv Naumov" offers unparalleled convenience to its residents, allows students to have an easy access to academic facilities, libraries and cultural centers.
Stiv Naumov provides a nurturing and supportive environment for its diverse student community. It features a range of amenities, including dormitories, common study areas, nutrition facilities and recreational areas, aimed at providing a comfortable and conducive living and learning environment for students. Over the years, “Stiv Naumov” has been a key part of student life in Skopje, fostering a vibrant social atmosphere where friendships and togetherness are created and nurtured.
Within the project "Energy efficient renovation of student dormitories in North Macedonia", the renovation of the student dormitory "Stiv Naumov" is part of the initial phase. Starting in April 2024, the renovation is expected to last 18 months.
The reconstruction includes a complete change of the plumbing and electrical systems with state-of-the-art equipment, replacement of the heating installation, modernization of the sanitary facilities, implementation of an energy-efficient facade and installation of photovoltaic panels for the production of electricity. Furthermore, the project aims to improve common study areas and strengthen student safety measures. Emphasizing sustainability, energy efficiency and student well-being, the effort seeks to raise the overall quality of the dormitory while preserving its role as a nurturing environment for community, comfort and lasting connections between future generations.
